I discovered painting at 50, without formal training or references, driven purely by an inner compulsion to create. What began as a spontaneous impulse has evolved into a meditative practice that quiets my anxiety and allows emotions to surface in ways words never could. Painting has become both my therapy and my sanctuary, offering a sense of vitality and freedom I hadn't anticipated.
My process is intuitive and unplanned. Each piece unfolds organically, guided by the movement of my hands, the pull of color, and the tactile experience of brush on canvas. Sometimes the work emerges with raw energy; other times, it is quiet and contemplative. Regardless of the outcome, the act of painting itself grounds me, offering space to breathe and reflect.
Beginning this journey later in life has deepened its meaning for me. I've learned there is no single "right way" to create but only the courage to begin.
